Interrupting Capacity Tests

Introduction

The Interrupting capacity tests are performed by the High Current Laboratory (AP1), located in the Adrianópolis Unit. Suitable for low voltage equipment, they aim at verifying the interrupting capacity in circuit-breakers or in output circuits of low voltage panels, improving thus the performance of the equipment and the safety of its users and of the electric system.

The main clients of these tests are: electricity utilities and equipment manufacturers.
