Internal power arc tests

Introduction

The internal power arc tests in low voltage panels are performed by the High Current Laboratory (AP1), located in the Adrianópolis Unit. They aim at verifying the withstanding capacity of low voltage panels to an internal arc, improving thus the safety of the equipment user. This type of test is destructive, being suitable only for low voltage panels.

The main clients of these tests are: electricity utilities and equipment manufacturers.
